Il progetto ha profondamente trasformato l’impianto architettonico della sala risalente al 1976. I materiali sono semplici, ma non banali, per contenere i costi e per sfruttare al meglio le risorse da utilizzarsi anche per il totale rinnovamento delle tecnologie audio e video, degli impianti elettrici e dell’illuminazione. Grazie ad una lunga rampa, accessibile da ogni tipo di pubblico, l’Auditorium è divenuto usufruibile direttamente dalla piazza, anche in orari non coincidenti con quelli della Biblioteca. E’ stata creata una sala regia in grado di gestire eventi di grande livello, tutto l‘impianto illuminotecnico è stato rinnovato e il soffitto è stato trasformato in un cielo di stelle grazie all’adozione di una tinteggiatura blu scurissima. Oltre cento sorgenti led contengono i consumi energetici, 300 metri quadri di tendaggi operano come correttivi acustici insieme al pavimento della platea per cui è stato scelto il colore caldo del rovere naturale.

The project has profoundly transformed the architectural layout of the room, dating back to 1976. The materials are simple, but not trivial, to contain costs in order to use most of the resources for the total renovation of the audio and video technology, wiring and lighting. Thanks to a long ramp, accessible to all audiences, the Auditorium became livable directly from the square, even in times do not coincide with those of the Library. A new control room can handle events of high level, all the lighting system has been renovated and the roof has been transformed into a starry sky thanks to the adoption of a dark blue painting. Over 100 LED sources contain energy consumption, 300 square meters of acoustic curtains operate as corrective with the floor of the audience for which it was chosen the warm color of natural oak.
